The Source Fine Jewelers is Rochester’s premier diamond, engagement ring and fine jewelry store with a long history and a reputation for unmatched excellence in the jewelry industry.

Founded by Ara Simonian in 1978, the locally owned and family operated business was born of a spirit of entrepreneurship, hard work and true vision. Ara already had a successful career as an industrial engineer for Kodak when he decided to pursue his dream of owning his own business. With amazing enterprise and energy, he opened the first location for The Source Fine Jewelers while still working full time at Kodak. He continued with both careers, working days as an engineer and evenings at The Source Fine Jewelers for several years, before leaving Kodak to give his full attention to creating a future forged by his own hand.

The passion for entrepreneurship and business ran deep in the Simonian Family, so it was no surprise when in 1995, after finishing college and being accepted into law school, son John Simonian found he preferred the family business to the courtroom, and permanently joined the company he now leads.

Success continued for The Source when in 2004, The Source opened it’s second store in Greece. Twelve years later John opened their third store in the prestigious Eastview Mall in Victor, New York. Today, its three locations serve the entire Rochester market and makes The Source the largest diamond and jewelry company in the region.
